Extender Request: textarea maxlength

Please oh please oh please oh please would someone create an Extender that makes TextAreas (ie, Multiline TextBoxes) obey the maxlength property?

Sexy "characters remaining" indicator optional

Actually you can do that by using the existing extender you want, inherit and add the MaxLegth. I do believe that already exist in the new ASP.NET AJAX. I'll try to find it for you, I just download it yesterday and still trying to finish my next extender to submit to MS

Did you have any luck with this, as I'm looking for the same thing.

Any news on this one ? Trying to get the MaxLength work is driving me insane (JavaScript part). Does extender like this exist at all ?
