I am in need of a custom control that utilizes the ModalPopupExtender. Specifically I'm wanting to create some custom properties/methods for several different classes and have the functionality of the ModalPopup. I tried to Inherit the ModalPopupExtender control in my classes, but I'm having no luck creating an extender of an extender. Also, my code is in VB.NET but the CLR should allow me to inherit across languanges (I'd imagine). Anyone have any tips on creating a control or an extension of a control that also incorporates the ModalPopupExtender functionality? I thought of maybe creating a composite control but since I have never created server controls, it will take me a long while to figure out if it was a good idea or not. This may be a silly question, but I have spent many moons trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
